Sonnets - V. - Four Fiery Steeds Impatient Of The Rein Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACABBADEFDFD

Four fiery steeds impatient of the reinA
Whirled us o'er sunless ground beneath a skyB
As void of sunshine when from that wide plainA
Clear tops of far off mountains we descryC
Like a Sierra of cerulean SpainA
All light and lustre Did no heart replyB
Yes there was One for One asunder flyB
The thousand links of that ethereal chainA
And green vales open out with grove and fieldD
And the fair front of many a happy HomeE
Such tempting spots as into vision comeF
While Soldiers weary of the arms they wieldD
And sick at heart of strifeful ChristendomF
Gaze on the moon by parting clouds revealedD
