Sonnets - Iii. - St. Catherine Of Ledbury Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCADEFDFE

When human touch as monkish books attestA
Nor was applied nor could be Ledbury bellsB
Broke forth in concert flung adown the dellsB
And upward high as Malvern's cloudy crestA
Sweet tones and caught by a noble Lady blestA
To rapture Mabel listened at the sideC
Of her loved mistress soon the music diedC
And Catherine said Here I set up my restA
Warned in a dream the Wanderer long had soughtD
A home that by such miracle of soundE
Must be revealed she heard it now or feltF
The deep deep joy of a confiding thoughtD
And there a saintly Anchoress she dweltF
Till she exchanged for heaven that happy groundE
