Pelion And Ossa Flourish Side By Side Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDDCCE

Pelion and Ossa flourish side by sideA
Together in immortal books enrolledB
His ancient dower Olympus hath not soldB
And that inspiring Hill which did divideA
Into two ample horns his forehead wideA
Shines with poetic radiance as of oldB
While not an English Mountain we beholdB
By the celestial Muses glorifiedA
Yet round our sea girt shore they rise in crowdsC
What was the great Parnassus' self to TheeD
Mount Skiddaw In his natural sovereigntyD
Our British Hill is nobler far he shroudsC
His double front among Atlantic cloudsC
And pours forth streams more sweet than CastalyE
