On The Final Submission Of The Tyrolese Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBCDEEDFG

IT was a 'moral' end for which they foughtA
Else how when mighty Thrones were put to shameB
Could they poor Shepherds have preserved an aimB
A resolution or enlivening thoughtA
Nor hath that moral good been 'vainly' soughtA
For in their magnanimity and fameB
Powers have they left an impulse and a claimB
Which neither can be overturned nor boughtC
Sleep Warriors sleep among your hills reposeD
We know that ye beneath the stern controlE
Of awful prudence keep the unvanquished soulE
And when impatient of her guilt and woesD
Europe breaks forth then Shepherds shall ye riseF
For perfect triumph o'er your EnemiesG
