November 1813 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCADEDEED

Now that all hearts are glad all faces brightA
Our aged Sovereign sits to the ebb and flowB
Of states and kingdoms to their joy or woeB
Insensible He sits deprived of sightA
And lamentably wrapt in twofold nightA
Whom no weak hopes deceived whose mind ensuedC
Through perilous war with regal fortitudeC
Peace that should claim respect from lawless MightA
Dread King of Kings vouchsafe a ray divineD
To his forlorn condition let thy graceE
Upon his inner soul in mercy shineD
Permit his heart to kindle and to embraceE
Though it were only for a moment's spaceE
The triumphs of this hour for they are THINED
