November 1 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDEECDHow clear how keen how marvellously bright | A |
The effluence from yon distant mountain's head | B |
Which strewn with snow smooth as the sky can shed | B |
Shines like another sun on mortal sight | A |
Uprisen as if to check approaching Night | A |
And all her twinkling stars Who now would tread | B |
If so he might yon mountain's glittering head | B |
Terrestrial but a surface by the flight | A |
Of sad mortality's earth sullying wing | C |
Unswept unstained Nor shall the aerial Powers | D |
Dissolve that beauty destined to endure | E |
White radiant spotless exquisitely pure | E |
Through all vicissitudes till genial Spring | C |
Has filled the laughing vales with welcome flowers | D |
