Not Love, Not War, Nor The Tumultuous Swell Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

Not Love not War nor the tumultuous swellA
Of civil conflict nor the wrecks of changeB
Nor Duty struggling with afflictions strangeB
Not these 'alone' inspire the tuneful shellA
But where untroubled peace and concord dwellA
There also is the Muse not loth to rangeB
Watching the twilight smoke of cot or grangeB
Skyward ascending from a woody dellA
Meek aspirations please her lone endeavourC
And sage content and placid melancholyD
She loves to gaze upon a crystal riverC
Diaphanous because it travels slowlyD
Soft is the music that would charm for everC
The flower of sweetest smell is shy and lowlyD
