Lines Written In Early Spring Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFH IFIF EJEJ KEKE

I heard a thousand blended notesA
While in a grove I sate reclinedB
In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughtsC
Bring sad thoughts to the mindB
-
To her fair works did Nature linkD
The human soul that through me ranE
And much it grieved my heart to thinkD
What man has made of manE
-
Through primrose tufts in that green bowerF
The periwinkle trailed its wreathsG
And 'tis my faith that every flowerF
Enjoys the air it breathesH
-
The birds around me hopped and playedI
Their thoughts I cannot measureF
But the least motion which they madeI
It seemed a thrill of pleasureF
-
The budding twigs spread out their fanE
To catch the breezy airJ
And I must think do all I canE
That there was pleasure thereJ
-
If this belief from heaven be sentK
If such be Nature's holy planE
Have I not reason to lamentK
What man has made of manE
