Homeward We Turn. Isle Of Columba's Cell Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACBBADEFDEF

Homeward we turn Isle of Columba's CellA
Where Christian piety's soul cheering sparkB
Kindled from Heaven between the light and darkB
Of time shone like the morning star farewellA
And fare thee well to Fancy visibleC
Remote St Kilda lone and loved sea markB
For many a voyage made in her swift barkB
When with more hues than in the rainbow dwellA
Thou a mysterious intercourse dost holdD
Extracting from clear skies and air sereneE
And out of sun bright waves a lucid veilF
That thickens spreads and mingling fold with foldD
Makes known when thou no longer canst be seenE
Thy whereabout to warn the approaching sailF
