Her Only Pilot The Soft Breeze, The Boat Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDDCEE

Her only pilot the soft breeze the boatA
Lingers but Fancy is well satisfiedB
With keen eyed Hope with Memory at her sideB
And the glad Muse at liberty to noteA
All that to each is precious as we floatA
Gently along regardless who shall chideB
If the heavens smile and leave us free to glideB
Happy Associates breathing air remoteA
From trivial cares But Fancy and the MuseC
Why have I crowded this small bark with youD
And others of your kind ideal crewD
While here sits One whose brightness owes its huesC
To flesh and blood no Goddess from aboveE
No fleeting Spirit but my own true loveE
