From The Same Ii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCADEEFDF

No mortal object did these eyes beholdA
When first they met the placid light of thineB
And my Soul felt her destiny divineB
And hope of endless peace in me grew boldA
Heaven born the Soul a heaven ward course must holdA
Beyond the visible world she soars to seekC
For what delights the sense is false and weakC
Ideal Form the universal mouldA
The wise man I affirm can find no restD
In that which perishes nor will he lendE
His heart to aught which doth on time dependE
'Tis sense unbridled will and not true loveF
That kills the soul love betters what is bestD
Even here below but more in heaven aboveF
