Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part Iii. - Xxxvii - Congratulation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCCCCDCDE

Thus all things lead to Charity securedA
By them who blessed the soft and happy galeB
That landward urged the great Deliverer's sailB
Till in the sunny bay his fleet was mooredA
Propitious hour had we like them enduredA
Sore stress of apprehension with a mindC
Sickened by injuries dreading worse designedC
From month to month trembling and unassuredC
How had we then rejoiced But we have feltC
As a loved substance their futurityC
Good which they dared not hope for we have seenD
A State whose generous will through earth is dealtC
A State which balancing herself betweenD
License and slavish order dares be freeE
