Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part Iii. - Xxxix - Church To Be Erected Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCDEFEGGE

Be this the chosen site the virgin sodA
Moistened from age to age by dewy eveB
Shall disappear and grateful earth receiveB
The corner stone from hands that build to GodA
Yon reverend hawthorns hardened to the rodA
Of winter storms yet budding cheerfullyC
Those forest oaks of Druid memoryC
Shall long survive to shelter the AbodeD
Of genuine Faith Where haply 'mid this bandE
Of daisies shepherds sate of yore and woveF
May garlands there let the holy altar standE
For kneeling adoration while aboveG
Broods visibly portrayed the mystic DoveG
That shall protect from blasphemy the LandE
