Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part Iii. - Xxx - Forms Of Prayer At Sea Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACACADEEDFF

To kneeling Worshipers no earthly floorA
Gives holier invitation than the deckB
Of a storm shattered Vessel saved from WreckB
When all that Man could do availed no moreA
By him who raised the Tempest and restrainsC
Happy the crew who this have felt and pourA
Forth for his mercy as the Church ordainsC
Solemn thanksgiving Nor will 'they' imploreA
In vain who for a rightful cause give breathD
To words the Church prescribes aiding the lipE
For the heart's sake ere ship with hostile shipE
Encounters armed for work of pain and deathD
Suppliants the God to whom your cause ye trustF
Will listen and ye know that He is justF
