Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part Iii. - Xxv - Sacrament Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAADEAFGFGHI

By chain yet stronger must the Soul be tiedA
One duty more last stage of this ascentB
Brings to thy food mysterious SacramentC
The Offspring haply at the Parent's sideA
But not till They with all that do abideA
In Heaven have lifted up their hearts to laudD
And magnify the glorious name of GodE
Fountain of grace whose Son for sinners diedA
Ye who have duly weighed the summons pauseF
No longer ye whom to the saving riteG
The Altar calls come early under lawsF
That can secure for you a path of lightG
Through gloomiest shade put on nor dread its weightH
Armour divine and conquer in your causeI
