Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part Iii. - Xxii - Catechising Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCADEDFGE

From Little down to Least in due degreeA
Around the Pastor each in new wrought vestB
Each with a vernal posy at his breastB
We stood a trembling earnest CompanyA
With low soft murmur like a distant beeA
Some spake by thought perplexing fears betrayedC
And some a bold unerring answer madeC
How fluttered then thy anxious heart for meA
Beloved Mother Thou whose happy handD
Had bound the flowers I wore with faithful tieE
Sweet flowers at whose inaudible commandD
Her countenance phantom like doth reappearF
O lost too early for the frequent tearG
And ill requited by this heartfelt sighE
