Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part Iii. - Xliv - The Same Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCAADADEF

What awful perspective while from our sightA
With gradual stealth the lateral windows hideB
Their Portraitures their stone work glimmers dyedB
In the soft chequerings of a sleepy lightA
Martyr or King or sainted EremiteA
Whoe'er ye be that thus yourselves unseenC
Imbue your prison bars with solemn sheenC
Shine on until ye fade with coming NightA
But from the arms of silence list O listA
The music bursteth into second lifeD
The notes luxuriate every stone is kissedA
By sound or ghost of sound in mazy strifeD
Heart thrilling strains that cast before the eyeE
Of the devout a veil of ecstasyF
