Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part Iii. - Xix - The Liturgy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACBADEEDFD

Yes if the intensities of hope and fearA
Attract us still and passionate exerciseB
Of lofty thoughts the way before us liesB
Distinct with signs through which in set careerA
As through a zodiac moves the ritual yearA
Of England's Church stupendous mysteriesC
Which whoso travels in her bosom eyesB
As he approaches them with solemn cheerA
Upon that circle traced from sacred storyD
We only dare to cast a transient glanceE
Trusting in hope that Others may advanceE
With mind intent upon the King of GloryD
From his mild advent till his countenanceF
Shall dissipate the seas and mountains hoaryD
