Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part Iii. - V - Walton's Book Of Lives Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDBAEEFAFC

There are no colours in the fairest skyA
So fair as these The feather whence the penB
Was shaped that traced the lives of these good menB
Dropped from an Angel's wing With moistened eyeA
We read of faith and purest charityC
In Statesman Priest and humble CitizenD
Oh could we copy their mild virtues thenB
What joy to live what blessedness to dieA
Methinks their very names shine still and brightE
Apart like glow worms on a summer nightE
Or lonely tapers when from far they flingF
A guiding ray or seen like stars on highA
Satellites burning in a lucid ringF
Around meek Walton's heavenly memoryC
