Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part Ii. - Xxxiv - Latimer And Ridley Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAAAAAABCDDBC

How fast the Marian death list is unrolledA
See Latimer and Ridley in the mightA
Of Faith stand coupled for a common flightA
One like those prophets whom God sent of oldA
Transfigured from this kindling hath foretoldA
A torch of inextinguishable lightA
The Other gains a confidence as boldA
And thus they foil their enemy's despiteA
The penal instruments the shows of crimeB
Are glorified while this once mitred pairC
Of saintly Friends the murtherer's chain partakeD
Corded and burning at the social stakeD
Earth never witnessed object more sublimeB
In constancy in fellowship more fairC
