Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part Ii. - Xxiii - Continued Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACACAAA

Yet many a Novice of the cloistral shadeA
And many chained by vows with eager gleeB
The warrant hail exulting to be freeB
Like ships before whose keels full long embayedA
In polar ice propitious winds have madeA
Unlooked for outlet to an open seaB
Their liquid world for bold discoveryB
In all her quarters temptingly displayedA
Hope guides the young but when the old must passC
The threshold whither shall they turn to findA
The hospitality the alms alasC
Alms may be needed which that House bestowedA
Can they in faith and worship train the mindA
To keep this new and questionable roadA
