Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part I. - Xxv - Missions And Travels Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCDDAEFGHEF

Not sedentary all there are who roamA
To scatter seeds of life on barbarous shoresB
Or quit with zealous step their knee worn floorsB
To seek the general mart of ChristendomC
Whence they like richly laden merchants comeC
To their beloved cells or shall we sayD
That like the Red cross Knight they urge their wayD
To lead in memorable triumph homeA
Truth their immortal Una BabylonE
Learned and wise hath perished utterlyF
Nor leaves her Speech one word to aid the sighG
That would lament her Memphis Tyre are goneH
With all their Arts but classic lore glides onE
By these Religious saved for all posterityF
