Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part I. - Xxii - Continued Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCDDCEFGGFF

Methinks that to some vacant hermitageA
'My' feet would rather turn to some dry nookB
Scooped out of living rock and near a brookB
Hurled down a mountain cove from stage to stageC
Yet tempering for my sight its bustling rageC
In the soft heaven of a translucent poolD
Thence creeping under sylvan arches coolD
Fit haunt of shapes whose glorious equipageC
Would elevate my dreams A beechen bowlE
A maple dish my furniture should beF
Crisp yellow leaves my bed the hooting owlG
My night watch nor should e'er the crested fowlG
From thorp or vill his matins sound for meF
Tired of the world and all its industryF
