Ecclesiastical Sonnets - Part I. - Vii - Recovery Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAADDAEFBEFB

As when a storm hath ceased the birds regainA
Their cheerfulness and busily retrimB
Their nests or chant a gratulating hymnC
To the blue ether and bespangled plainA
Even so in many a re constructed faneA
Have the survivors of this Storm renewedD
Their holy rites with vocal gratitudeD
And solemn ceremonials they ordainA
To celebrate their great deliveranceE
Most feelingly instructed 'mid their fearF
That persecution blind with rage extremeB
May not the less through Heaven's mild countenanceE
Even in her own despite both feed and cheerF
For all things are less dreadful than they seemB
