Composed Among The Ruins Of A Castle In North Wales Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBABAABAACDDC

Through shattered galleries 'mid roofless hallsA
Wandering with timid footsteps oft betrayedB
The Stranger sighs nor scruples to upbraidB
Old Time though he gentlest among the ThrallsA
Of Destiny upon these wounds hath laidB
His lenient touches soft as light that fallsA
From the wan Moon upon the towers and wallsA
Light deepening the profoundest sleep of shadeB
Relic of Kings Wreck of forgotten warsA
To winds abandoned and the prying starsA
Time 'loves' Thee at his call the Seasons twineC
Luxuriant wreaths around thy forehead hoarD
And though past pomp no changes can restoreD
A soothing recompense his gift is thineC
