Brook! Whose Society The Poet Seeks Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACBBADEDFGE

Brook whose society the Poet seeksA
Intent his wasted spirits to renewB
And whom the curious Painter doth pursueB
Through rocky passes among flowery creeksA
And tracks thee dancing down thy water breaksC
If wish were mine some type of thee to viewB
Thee and not thee thyself I would not doB
Like Grecian Artists give thee human cheeksA
Channels for tears no Naiad should'st thou beD
Have neither limbs feet feathers joints nor hairsE
It seems the Eternal Soul is clothed in theeD
With purer robes than those of flesh and bloodF
And hath bestowed on thee a safer goodG
Unwearied joy and life without its caresE
