The Bracelet Of Grass Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFEF GHIHJKJK BLMN OPOP

The opal heart of afternoonA
Was clouding on to throbs of stormB
Ashen within the ardent westC
The lips of thunder muttered harmD
And as a bubble like to breakE
Hung heaven's trembling amethystF
When with the sedge grass by the lakeE
I braceleted her wristF
-
And when the ribbon grass was tiedG
Sad with the happiness we plannedH
Palm linked in palm we stood awhileI
And watched the raindrops dot the sandH
Until the anger of the breezeJ
Chid all the lake's bright breathing downK
And ravished all the radianciesJ
From her deep eyes of brownK
-
We gazed from shelter on the stormB
And through out hearts swept ghostly painL
To see the shards of day sweep pastM
Broken and none might mend againN
-
Broken that none shall ever mendO
Loosened that none shall ever tieP
O the wind and the wind will it never endO
O the sweeping past of the ruined skyP
