On The River Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD AEAE FAFA AGAG

The faint stars wake and wonderA
Fade and find heart anewB
Above us and far underA
Sphereth the watchful blueB
-
Silent she sits outbendingC
A wild pathetic graceD
A beauty strange heart rendingC
Upon her hair and faceD
-
O spirit cries that severA
The cricket's level droneE
O to give o'er endeavorA
And let love have its ownE
-
Within the mirrored bushesF
There wakes a little stirA
The white throat moves and hushesF
Her nestlings under herA
-
Beneath the lustrous riverA
The watchful sky o'erheadG
God God that Thou should'st everA
Poison thy children's breadG
