to see my parents very often you knowC

even when I was living in the same city he saysD
maybe I would go there onceE
a month or maybe even lessF
I say oh yesF

he says the last time I went to see my fatherG
I say the last time I saw my fatherG
-
he says the last time I saw my fatherG
he was asking me about my lifeH
how I was making out and heI
went into the next roomJ
to get something to give meI
-
oh I sayK
feeling again the coldL
of my father's hand the last timeM
-
he says and my father turnedN
in the doorway and saw meI
look at my wristwatch and heI
said you know I would like you to stayK
and talk with meI

but if you are busy he saidO
I don't want you to feel that youP
have toP
just because I'm hereQ

you have important work you are doingR
or maybe you should be seeingR
somebody I don't want to keep youP
-
I look out the windowC
my friend is older than I amS
he says and I told my father it was soC
and I got up and left him thenT
