December Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CDEFG HIJ KL

The cold slope is standing in darknessA
But the south of the trees is dry to the touchB
-
The heavy limbs climb into the moonlight bearing feathersC
I came to watch theseD
White plants older at nightE
The oldestF
Come first to the ruinsG
-
And I hear magpies kept awake by the moonH
The water flows through itsI
Own fingers without endJ
-
Tonight once moreK
I find a single prayer and it is not for menL
