The Sonnets Lxxxviii - When Thou Shalt Be Dispos'd To Set Me Light Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDCDCDEE

When thou shalt be dispos'd to set me lightA
And place my merit in the eye of scornB
Upon thy side against myself I'll fightA
And prove thee virtuous though thou art forswornB
With mine own weakness being best acquaintedC
Upon thy part I can set down a storyD
Of faults conceal'd wherein I am attaintedC
That thou in losing me shalt win much gloryD
And I by this will be a gainer tooC
For bending all my loving thoughts on theeD
The injuries that to myself I doC
Doing thee vantage double vantage meD
Such is my love to thee I so belongE
That for thy right myself will bear all wrongE
