The Sonnets Lxxxvii - Farewell! Thou Art Too Dear For My Possessing Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACAAAAAAAADD

Farewell thou art too dear for my possessingA
And like enough thou know'st thy estimateB
The charter of thy worth gives thee releasingA
My bonds in thee are all determinateC
For how do I hold thee but by thy grantingA
And for that riches where is my deservingA
The cause of this fair gift in me is wantingA
And so my patent back again is swervingA
Thy self thou gav'st thy own worth then not knowingA
Or me to whom thou gav'st it else mistakingA
So thy great gift upon misprision growingA
Comes home again on better judgement makingA
Thus have I had thee as a dream doth flatterD
In sleep a king but waking no such matterD
