The Sonnets Lxxix - Whilst I Alone Did Call Upon Thy Aid Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDFGHIJJ

Whilst I alone did call upon thy aidA
My verse alone had all thy gentle graceB
But now my gracious numbers are decay'dA
And my sick Muse doth give an other placeB
I grant sweet love thy lovely argumentC
Deserves the travail of a worthier penD
Yet what of thee thy poet doth inventE
He robs thee of and pays it thee againD
He lends thee virtue and he stole that wordF
From thy behaviour beauty doth he giveG
And found it in thy cheek he can affordH
No praise to thee but what in thee doth liveI
Then thank him not for that which he doth sayJ
Since what he owes thee thou thyself dost payJ
