Sonnets Xvi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDBEBEBB

WHEN in the chronicle of wasted timeA
I see descriptions of the fairest wightsB
And beauty making beautiful old rimeA
In praise of Ladies dead and lovely KnightsB
Then in the blazon of sweet beauty's bestC
Of hand of foot of lip of eye of browD
I see their antique pen would have exprestC
Even such a beauty as you master nowD
So all their praises are but propheciesB
Of this our time all you prefiguringE
And for they look'd but with divining eyesB
They had not skill enough your worth to singE
nbsp nbsp nbsp For we which now behold these present daysB
nbsp nbsp nbsp Have eyes to wonder but lack tongues to praiseB
