Sonnet Lx Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEGHH

Like as the waves make towards the pebbled shoreA
So do our minutes hasten to their endB
Each changing place with that which goes beforeA
In sequent toil all forwards do contendB
Nativity once in the main of lightC
Crawls to maturity wherewith being crown'dD
Crooked elipses 'gainst his glory fightC
And Time that gave doth now his gift confoundD
Time doth transfix the flourish set on youthE
And delves the parallels in beauty's browF
Feeds on the rarities of nature's truthE
And nothing stands but for his scythe to mowG
And yet to times in hope my verse shall standH
Praising thy worth despite his cruel handH
