Sonnet 131: Thou Art As Tyrannous, So As Thou Art Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

Thou art as tyrannous so as thou artA
As those whose beauties proudly make them cruelB
For well thou know'st to my dear doting heartA
Thou art the fairest and most precious jewelB
Yet in good faith some say that thee beholdC
Thy face hath not the power to make love groanD
To say they err I dare not be so boldC
Although I swear it to myself aloneD
And to be sure that is not false I swearE
A thousand groans but thinking on thy faceF
One on another's neck do witness bearE
Thy black is fairest in my judgment's placeF
In nothing art thou black save in thy deedsG
And thence this slander as I think proceedsG
