Sonnet 032: If Thou Survive My Well-contented Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGH

If thou survive my well contented dayA
When that churl Death my bones with dust shall coverB
And shalt by fortune once more re surveyA
These poor rude lines of thy deceas egrave d loverB
Compare them with the bett'ring of the timeC
And though they be outstripped by every penD
Reserve them for my love not for their rhymeC
Exceeded by the height of happier menD
O then vouchsafe me but this loving thoughtE
Had my friend's Muse grown with this growing ageF
A dearer birth than this his love had broughtE
To march in ranks of better equipageF
But since he died and poets better proveG
Theirs for their style I'll read his for his loveH
