To The River Wenbeck Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCADEDFGHGHGH

As slowly wanders thy forsaken streamA
Wenbeck the mossy scatter'd rocks amongB
In fancy's ear still making plaintive songC
To the dark woods above ah sure I seemA
To meet some friendly Genius in the gloomD
And in each breeze a pitying voice I hearE
Like sorrow's sighs upon misfortune's tombD
Ah soothing are your quiet scenes the tearF
Of him who passes weary on his wayG
Shall thank you as he turns to bid adieuH
Onward a cheerless pilgrim he may strayG
Yet oft as musing memory shall reviewH
The scenes that cheer'd his path with fairer rayG
Delightful haunts he will remember youH
