Languid, And Sad, And Slow, From Day To Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDCEFFEEE

Languid and sad and slow from day to dayA
I journey on yet pensive turn to viewB
Where the rich landscape gleams with softer hueB
The streams and vales and hills that steal awayA
So fares it with the children of the earthC
For when life's goodly prospect opens roundD
Their spirits beat to tread that fairy groundD
Where every vale sounds to the pipe of mirthC
But them vain hope and easy youth beguilesE
And soon a longing look like me they castF
Back on the pleasing prospect of the pastF
Yet Fancy points where still far onward smilesE
Some sunny spot and her fair colouring blendsE
Till cheerless on their path the night descendsE
