In Horto Rev. J. Still, Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: A BCDEFGHIJKLMBAPUD KNOYLE VILLAM AMOENISSIMAM | A |
- | |
Stranger a while beneath this aged tree | B |
Rest thee the hills beyond and flowery meads | C |
Surveying and if Nature's charms may wake | D |
A sweet and silent transport at thine heart | E |
In spring time whilst the bee hums heedless nigh | F |
Rejoice for thee the verdant spot is dressed | G |
Circled with laurels green and sprinkled o'er | H |
With many a budding rose the shrubs all ring | I |
To the birds' warblings and by fits the air | J |
Whispers amid the foliage o'er thine head | K |
Rejoice and oh if life's sweet spring be thine | L |
So gather its brief rose buds and deceive | M |
The cares and crosses of humanity | B |
