In Horto Rev. J. Still, - Apud Knoyle, Villam Amoenissimam. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLA

Stranger a while beneath this aged treeA
Rest thee the hills beyond and flowery meadsB
Surveying and if Nature's charms may wakeC
A sweet and silent transport at thine heartD
In spring time whilst the bee hums heedless nighE
Rejoice for thee the verdant spot is dressedF
Circled with laurels green and sprinkled o'erG
With many a budding rose the shrubs all ringH
To the birds' warblings and by fits the airI
Whispers amid the foliage o'er thine headJ
Rejoice and oh if life's sweet spring be thineK
So gather its brief rose buds and deceiveL
The cares and crosses of humanityA
