Ii. Written At Bamborough Castle. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDCEFGFHH

YE holy tow'rs that crown the azure deepA
Still may ye shade the wave worn rock sublimeB
Though hurrying silent by relentless TimeB
Assail you and the winter Whirlwind's sweepA
For far from blazing Grandeur's crowded hallsC
Here Charity hath fix'd her chosen seatD
Oft listening tearful when the wild winds beatD
With hollow bodings round your ancient wallsC
And Pity's self at the dark stormy hourE
Of Midnight when the Moon is hid on highF
Keeps her lone watch upon the topmost tow'rG
And turns her ear to each expiring cryF
Blest if her aid some fainting wretch might saveH
And snatch him speechless from the whelming waveH
