Hon. Miss Mercer. - Hopner (sketches In The Exhibition, 1805) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEF

Oh hide those tempting eyes that faultless formA
Those looks with feeling and with nature warmA
The neck the softly swelling bosom hideB
Nor wanton gales blow the light vest asideB
For who when beauties more than life exciteC
Silent applause can gaze without delightC
But innocence enchanting maid is thineD
Thine eyes in liquid light unconscious shineD
And may thy breast no other feelings proveE
Than those of sympathy and mutual loveF
