At A Village In Scotland Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDCEFFEGG

O north as thy romantic vales I leaveA
And bid farewell to each retiring hillB
Where thoughtful fancy seems to linger stillB
Tracing the broad bright landscape much I grieveA
That mingled with the toiling croud no moreC
I shall return your varied views to markD
Of rocks winding wild and mountains hoarC
Or castle gleaming on the distant steepE
Yet not the less I pray your charms may lastF
And many a soften'd image of the pastF
Pensive combine and bid remembrance keepE
To cheer me with the thought of pleasure flownG
When I am wand'ring on my way aloneG
