Tom Moody Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEAAFGDDBH

Death had beckoned with grisly handA
To the finest Whip in hunting landA
My time is short Tom Moody saidB
Master when I am done and deadB
Lay me at Barrow beneath the yewC
In the dear old shire we have hunted throughC
Let six earth stoppers carry me thereD
With slow step and heads bareD
Bring the old horse that I used to rideE
With my whip and boots to his saddle tiedE
Fasten the brush in his forehead bandA
Of the last dog fox we brought to handA
And let a couple of old hounds comeF
Fitting mourners to follow me homeG
Then when you've laid me safe down thereD
Give three view holloas will shake the airD
And you'll know if I do not lift my headB
There is no mistake Tom Moody's dead 'H
