The Shadow On The Blind Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFE

Last night I walked among the lamps that gleamedA
And saw a shadow on a window blindB
A moving shadow and the picture seemedA
To call some scene to mindB
-
I looked again a dark form to and froC
Swayed softly as to music full of restD
Bent low bent lower Still I did not knowC
And then at last I guessedD
-
And through the night came all old memories flockingE
White memories like the snowflakes round me whirledF
'All's well ' I said 'The mothers still sit rockingE
The cradles of the world '-
