The Men Of The Open Spaces Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD CECE FGFG HIAI

These are the men with the sun tanned facesA
and the keen far sighted eyesB
the men of the open spacesA
and the land where the mirage liesB
-
The men who have learnt to masterC
the forces of fire and droughtD
and the demon Flood's disasterC
in the fields of furthest outD
-
The men who have stood togetherC
and shared in the fight with fateE
and known the strength of the tetherC
that holds a mate to his mateE
-
Who ride with a gallant bearingF
where every saddle's a throneG
and each is an emperor sharingF
an empire enough for his ownG
-
They are strangers to airs and gracesH
and scornful of power and prideI
the Men of the Open SpacesA
who rule the world when they rideI
