A Little Bit Of Garden Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB ADED FGGG CBHB IJGJ ABCB

We need no crown or sceptreA
for now that it is springB
just a little bit of gardenC
and every man's a kingB
-
A little breadth of borderA
a little patch of grassD
above it all the April skyE
where soft the south winds passD
-
A spade and rake for comradesF
the smell of rain wet mouldG
and every time we turn a clodG
we turn a mint of goldG
-
A little bit of gardenC
with daffodils a swingB
and tulip flowers whose crimson flagsH
are only flown for springB
-
Shy blossoming primrosesI
forget me nots of blueJ
and here a blade and there a bladeG
of green things peeping throughJ
-
Who seeks for crown or sceptreA
when every man's a mingB
whose patch of cottage gardenC
has felt the feet of SpringB
