When The Cuckoo Sings Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFEGHIHJKLK

In summer when the Cuckoo singsA
And clouds like greater moons can shineB
When every leafy tree doth holdC
A loving heart that beats with mineB
Now when the Brook has cresses greenD
As well as stones to check his paceE
And if the Owl appears he's forcedF
By small birds to some hiding placeE
Then like red Robin in the springG
I shun those haunts where men are foundH
My house holds little joy untilI
Leaves fall and birds can make no soundH
Let none invade that wildernessJ
Into whose dark green depths I goK
Save some fine lady all in whiteL
Comes like a pillar of pure snowK
