The Heap Of Rags Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGEEHHII JJKKLLMMNO

One night when I went downA
Thames' side in London TownA
A heap of rags saw IB
And sat me down close byB
That thing could shout and bawlC
But showed no face at allC
When any steamer passedD
And blew a loud shrill blastD
That heap of rags would sitE
And make a sound like itE
When struck the clock's deep bellF
It made those peals as wellF
When winds did moan aroundG
It mocked them with that soundG
When all was quiet itE
Fell into a strange fitE
Would sigh and moan and roarH
It laughed and blessed and sworeH
Yet that poor thing I knowI
Had neither friend nor foeI
Its blessin or its curseJ
Made no one better or worseJ
I left it in that placeK
The thing that showed no faceK
Was it a man that hadL
Suffered till he went madL
So many showers and notM
One rainbow in the lotM
Too many bitter fearsN
To make a pearl from tearsO
